Ok so far

Just received my refills today. I didn’t purchase the starter pack, I just wanted to see if I can make it work for $12-$13 instead of $40-$60 plus see if it were really any different than sand paper…and it’s not, but they’re decent size squares for a pack of 4 I believe and the price as well as shipping was good. I tried the suggested ways to train your dog to scratch it, but she simply used her nose to move the item to get at the treat so I used clear tape and some command strips I had laying around the house to tape it down to my laminate floors with a treat underneath. Once my dog stepped a paw on it or scratch at it even a little bit, I reward her but if she tries to just tear it up using her teeth I correct her and then she goes back to using her nails. She has very hard & thick nails so it’s going to take quite a few sessions to get her nails filed down. She won’t let anyone touch her paws to cut them and the vet quoted me several hundred dollars to anesthetize her so this is going to be a better option I hope.
